Curriculum Vitae

Dr. Nevin's scientific and research activities focus primarily on topics related to the adverse effects of antimalarials. He is highly cited in the field, with over 1,550 citations and with a current h-index of 22.  A selection of his recent publications are available here. Dr. Nevin is board certified in Public Health & General Preventive Medicine and in Occupational Medicine by the American Board of Preventive Medicine and certified in Public Health by the National Board of Public Health Examiners.

Dr. Nevin has been awarded the Captain Richard R. Hooper Award in Preventive Medicine and the George Miller Sternberg Award in Preventive Medicine. Dr. Nevin has been elected an Alumni Inductee of the Delta Omega Honor Society, Alpha Chapter, and has been  recognized with an Outstanding Recent Graduate award at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.

Awards and Honors

Dr. Nevin earned his honors undergraduate degree with High Distinction with Majors in Physics and Physiology and a Minor in Mathematics from the University of Toronto; an MD from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences, and an MPH, DrPH, and Certificate in Pharmacoepidemiolgy and Drug Safety from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.

Education

Dr. Nevin completed his internship in Family Medicine at Womack Army Medical Center; his residency in Public Health and General Preventive Medicine at the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research; and his postdoctoral fellowship in Occupational and Environmental Medicine at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.
